I wanted to post something up a while back when Seibon came into my program after Long Beach but unfortunately my website wasn’t done at the time! For any up and coming drivers out there I’d like to mention and talk about how significant weight reduction really is and how Seibon products helped improve my car drastically. So at the at first FD round this year at the Street of Long Beach track, I really had no weight reduction done to my car other then the interior was gutted. I didn’t have any carbon products on my car or anything really to lighten it up exterior wise. We were running my 255/40/18 Falken RT615K tires at about 63PSI which is really high for the size of the tire with consideration for how much power my engine is making. I couldn’t run the tire pressure lower because if I did I would have issues breaking 4th gear loose easily. And since we couldn’t run the pressure lower, my car wasn’t able to get the grip it needed and was really slow compared to a lot of other drivers. For example when I met Ryan Tuerck in Top 16 he left me in his smoke trail when I chased him. However, after Long Beach my good friend Masaki from APEXi took me over to the Seibon warehouse and introduced me to all the guy’s over there. Everyone at Seibon was very respectful and more then willing to help me make my car lighter as well as more competitive. We did an entire car make over pretty much after Long Beach, doing all the things I wanted to do before Long Beach but simply ran out of time. Such as respraying the whole car, all new aero, graphics from Ian at Factory 83 and adding the new Seibon carbon products. Weight reduction wise after Long Beach we installed the new Seibon carbon hood and trunk lid, as well as doing a few little things here and there to shave any extra weight we could. With everything all said and done before Rd. 2 at Road Atlanta we were able to get my cars weight down about 160lbs! It was honestly pretty amazing to feel the difference in the way the car handled now. We were able drop the air pressure down about 20psi to 43psi at Atlanta while still being able to spin 4th gear with ease. My car was able to grip up so much better now and I was able to keep up with many of the big dogs! Not to mention with the air pressure being lower it allowed me to really throw the car very aggressively without ever worrying that I was going to spin. It’s amazing what weight reduction can do! A big thank you goes out to everyone at Seibon for their help and support this year! Make sure you hit up the guys over at Seibon for all your carbon and weight reduction needs! They will get you all situated and take great care of you!

Here’s some photos of my car from the Motormavens feature and from FD Atlanta with my new Seibon stuff!
